I've got a Savage M1920 from 1925 in 250 Savage. Nice small, light rifle. Wonderful round.
First one in the pic below, with a few other notables.

Speaking of, I've got a Remington model 30S-Express from 1939.(3rd in pic below)
I've been looking for some sling swivels to fit on the 1/2" wide factory studs, can't find them anywhere. Any ideas???

From a little interwebbing, it looks like the sling loops you need are "hook and eye" found one place that had winchester ones and they were out of stock. https://www.jeffsoutfitters.com/product/winchester-sling-eye-hooks/

Thank you for the help. Those hook style were indeed used on the earlier Remington 30 rifles. Mine look more like the pre '64 Winchester Super Grade swivel bases. They are 1/2" wide where the swivel interfaces. I can't find what the SG width is, I thought one place said they were 5/16".

UPDATE, It looks like the Super Grade swivels will work according to dimensions I asked for from a ebay seller. Now off to sell a kidney!

Not sure why I haven't contributed to this thread. Maybe because I'm more misser than shooter. Anyway, all Rugers for me, mostly revolvers, but a couple of pistols and the required 10/22 as well. Just re-upped my range membership for the year. Didn't get out much last year, but its cheap, so no big deal.

SP-101 and LCR, both in 327 Federal Mag.

Mark IV 22/45. Almost as much fun to take down as to shoot.

LCP II. I miss best with this one. Hoping that grip sleeve helps, but haven't tried it yet.

Had to laugh at this one. I have a collection of Mk 2 and 3s. I sit down and clean all of them at the same time. One you get the voodoo ritual down pat on the first one, the rest are a piece of cake.

My stepson has an LCP...like trying to hold onto a wet bar of soap when you shoot it

Aren’t they all ?
Well, 10/22’s certainly are fun to shoot - and waaayyy lighter than the Springfield.

And you guys (and the lack of ski time) have me digging back into the collection...I think the last time I had any out was for their annual checkups last year.
And as I dug through them I realize I had my Mausers mixed up - that AX was not the russian capture - I co-mingled it with this one.
Not sure how...
Even though this is a rare BSW (Berlin-Suhler-Waffen und Fahrzeugwerke to you Bill ogsmile) The Russian molestation makes it more shootable.

My friend took me to the range this morning. He’s basically the best instructor a person could ask for. I’ve messed around with - but not enjoyed - rifles before, but he brought out the little 22 pea shooter with a scope. Shooting a rifle with tiny caliber ammo was pretty fun.

For a challenge, he asked me to shoot a piece of orange clay on the berm. While he was busy chatting, setting expectations and trying to prevent discouragement, I just took aim and the clay target went boom.

Also did some ‘Presidente’ style drills on the pistol and it’s getting better for me. Feeling ok with my pistol handling skills, definitely have improved over time.
