These eBay OLINS are on their way to be included in my hopefully skiable stash.
I expect middle of the road Intermediate performance, kind of hoping for good flex and easy cruising on these 180cm with a modest side cut; or OLIN’s “Flare tip”.
Can anyone tell me about these Looks?
I have only skied with Nevadas* but I am hoping the plastic covers & pieces on these 99’s are okay?
* Not counting skiing with my Look Pivots on my more contemporary equipment.

Early 80's. I absolutely would NOT ski them.

Yikes!
Sounds like a serious thumbs down for these Look 99’s.
I will have to seek out a binding swap first thing.
The hole pattern shares 2 of the three toe holes with a modern 4 screw Pivot, so easy to swap to a new binding. Heels are the same.

Do you care to share why? I am editing this to say I am not a fan of the style of AFD with the brakes but the rest of the binding is not that horrible.

First time I have heard about that.
It's the plastic from the 80s and 90s that's flawed. That said, I skied a pair of those bindings on some VOs ten years ago.. for like an hour. Nothing pre Y2K plastic is safe at all really though. I've seen lots of blown Looks, Markers, Geze, all of it's compromised.

Definitely the S727's but I haven't run into the others.

These are my Looks, it has been a few years since I have skied them but I don't have any thoughts of breaking the bindings. I was thinking about using the once this year maybe at the indoor skiing slope

The bad plastics and rubber situation is also visible in the car industry. Belts, hoses, SV boots now last a LOT longer than they did in cars built in the 80s and early 90s. Cool Kastles!

Yes, the Kastles are cool, I think I will use them this year. They are a fun ski to play around with, you should see the looks I get in the lift lines.
