yeah ski 2 feet of powder fast apparently is something it can not do.

What is the point of skiing 2 feet of powder fast, unless you don't really like it that much and want to get it over with fast.:duck:

"I attack and discuss ideas, not people or people's character. So do not take anything personally."

Hmm.

Where did I attack someone....

I was just saying sure it can ski 2 feet of power, but can its ski it fast on top.....the answer is no.

+1,000!

It's a perfect powder day. Let's get the run over quickly, and sit back down on the chairlift!

OK...all said their part. I will clarify my remark. The Z90 can still ski 2' plus of powder it still cannot straightline a 50* chute in Alaska, it cannot run a competitive time in the Birds of Prey at Beaver Creek, it cannot dice, slice nor julienne potatoes but it sure as hell can do more things than you would expect the average 90mm ski to do.

Those phone apps that tell you how many runs or vertical or speed you did on a ski day...meh.

Find me an app that counts turns on a powder day because for me the number of turns is what counts on a powder day. Ok the number of face shots counts too, but then those numbers usually rely on a turn to create the face shot.

I think they appear to be a really nice all round go to ski, if you didn't know what you wanted to ski on for the day these appear to work well in everything I hit yesterday. I found some packed also and let them run and was very surprised they were not twitchy at all. we found a few bumps and they turned wonderfully. I am looking forward to skiing them again.
Thanks Phil for hooking me up yesterday.

Ya but im 500 LBS and remember that boot work I need Josh ,so maybe a normal skier will scream down the hill with the wind howling in his ears as he floats along the top of the 2-3' powder.
I apologize as you are correct I could have been skiing faster but I honestly was feeling and enjoying the ski.
Next time I will go faster and skip breakfast so I float more.

As always Older Boot (Man this guy is tough on me)

BTW, were you at N* Friday? I saw a guy dressed like your profile pic and thought about calling out "hey Charlie" but I didn't. Pioneer 1030-11ish.

Yes, it may have been me. That's one of my old Bogner suits, it's warm. I usually ski in something a LOT brighter, like old "color block" or neon suits, I'm very easy to recognize.

The mount point is making it feel short.
I just got them mounted on Thursday, wish I had know the mount point was not marked as per the recommended correction.

All in all, I was very impressed with the ski. I felt is was very quick side to side for a 90mm. It also was very stable in the late afternoon chop.

Know I need to decided if I want to move them back 2cm to see. Will probably wait and put skis through some more terrain (ice/hard pack, fresh soft stuff, etc) before making any change.

At Stratton today, groomed out, hard and fast. The Z90's are very stable and damp at speed.

Last week I felt they skied a bit short. However I did have some new boots on from right out of the box. Today I had some work done on them; a little heal lift, forward (un)lean and cant adjustments.... so this morning I let the Z90's rip and they were awesome. Did not feel short at all.

My GPS had me at 49.9 and they we just smooth and damp under my feet. Very interesting the more chatter I expected the less there was.

I moved the mount back to the -3cm on the 180 and let me tell you--these skis are the BEST in their category I have ever skied.

Handed them over to @Rich Peters yesterday and he would have to comment but I think after the first or second run, he said to me, "Can these skis really be that good?"

I know there was a lot of discussion on this matter. Is that the currently recommended mount point, or more of a personal choice? Thanks!

EDIT: found it on page 7 here in this thread. That's the current recommendation for the 180. Sorry for the noise.

The skis are mis-marked. They need to be mounted according to @Cyrus Schenck's recommendations accordingly. When they are, they are oh so good.

I was just wondering if Mike or anyone else near the Catskills needs to experiment with the mount point. Have skied from original MP to 3cm back and would agree that it can be personal preference. Clearly more testing is needed :D

Cyrus was kind enough to ship out an extra pair of skis to me - last years - same ski.
They have been outfitted with some attack demos if anyone in the Catskills wants to take a lap or 2 or 3....

Thanks again Cyrus
