So I did some BP88. On fishscales.

OF COURSE it generates a lot of crud. And you have to go sideways instead of along the ski.

But it works.

Wait... what?

Hot fast brushing. Across the ski. I didz it. On just-barely-congealed BP88.

On skis like the Fischer Traverse the crown area is like 70% of the ski length.

So here is a way to wax the ski AND have useable fishscales afterwards.

I'd love to see a pic/video of this.

Just so I understand (because I don't know anything)... you have a fishscale base ski, and you put a bunch of soft wax on it, and rotobrushed while it was hot?

What brushes have you tried? For my older Fischer crowns & Voile BC Chargers, I tried hot touch & crayoning solid wax and then using a hot air gun with full blower on. It worked OK, but a hot air gun with paste wax was easiest.

The grip zone of Atomic Chugach are routed in vs 'scales' and much easier to hot wax.
