If you skied Mammoth on closing day, August 6th, you were given a nifty, "Endless Winter" hat, as well as a voucher to ski free on their opening day, which was proposed as 11/9/2017, just 6 days away!!!

Who among us will be at Mammoth for the opener?
Does anyone know if they're on track to open in just 6 days?

Highlights from a handful of us who shredded Mammoth on their closing day.

Does my 4th of July tee shirt from Squaw count? What is the partnership deal with KSL? Is my pass good anyway? Or at least Mountain Collective?

Although life is getting busy and my trip down 395 might be delayed a couple weeks. Darn, opening day at Mammoth would be fun.

Has anyone been before? I can make it on Friday, but will the tiny snowbase be all crapped out after one day? I want to push my new skis and see what they can really do :D

Sorry to hear you are not up to making it and your free ticket(s) for today may not get used. Mammoth's web site says Broadway and Andy's Double Gold will be open which sounds more worthwhile than the one beginner run that had been open so far open at Mt Rose.

It's probably a good thing I did not see the following on Mammoth's FB page until this morning. "First 100 people in line at Broadway Express tomorrow get a FREE opening day lift ticket! Don’t forget to use #mammothsopen on your photos all weekend long for a chance to win a @gopro Hero6".

With high passes over 108 and 120 closed and 88 on chain control, I would not make it in time and it's a long drive for only a couple of open runs.

First day on the books! Windy but nice day at Mammoth. Just Chair one and lower gondola to Broadway and race hill were open and coverage was fair and skis are unscathed. Big turn out as cars parked all the way to chair two. Back of 3 should be open by weekend?!

Shredding the gnar on Mt. Rose beginner chair this Sunday and doing a bit of quality control on Snowind Sports' new rental skis and boots! If anyone wants to brush up on their wedge turns?...
