Yup, an 84. Chose that over an 85 Golf ... we were newlyweds and it was $1,500 less.
Ours had the VW engine though so 50/50.

Did you ever drive one? Talk about torque steer. Rude, crude and socially unacceptable. At the time Caroll Shelby was convinced that a FWD car couldn't handle more that 200 Hp (these had 175)
