Larry got his wish. Partly sunny this morning (Good Friday) at Snowbird. Conditions still excellent, mostly winter powdery everywhere. Big crowd drawn by Conditions and Good Friday, parking eventually full. Contrasted with earlier this midweek light crowds. I sought small lift lines at Peru, Gadzoom and Gad2.
Took lower baldy traverse a couple times including Eye of the Needle chute, to left looking up.

Had a fun day skiing Alta with @bbinder and Marcia at Alta. No rush day, and got in some great turns with great peeps. Amazed at how well the snow skied, despite a good amount of near-April sun.

Yes, SB was Awesome today!! Love the weather and conditions. Took me awhile to figure out the mountain. Turns out they dont offer ski host giving those free tours of the mountain(that would have helped). Also, didnt know they didnt have RFID scanners there...overall, so happy I went

Got Thunder Bowl by myself in 2 foot chop.

COOL skis outside last day for Mid-Gad restaurant. It's being demolished and rebuilt over next 2 years.

Snowbird’s mid-mountain restaurant, Mid-Gad, is getting rebuilt starting spring 2024.

As of this morning, all 4 Cottonwood Canyon resorts have surpassed the 500" mark for snowfall received this season. As usual, Alta is leading the charge. Conditions have been terrific on a near-daily basis for weeks upon weeks now. This past weekend was amazing!

Surprisingly good yesterday. 50+ inches in the past week or so settled out in most areas but sheltered areas up high skied pretty deep.

amazing day at Alta , sunshine and warm . worked on my tan . ski up chairs all day . empty slopes just perfect.

Baldy chutes were going off. pic below lowest cliff u can see a small shadow figure. that guy launched this cliff and landed it!

5 apr 2024, firm conditions at snowbird, but storms a comin' that should fix things.
It's Subaru WinterFest this weekend. I demoed some Nordica Enforcers (89mm underfoot) that had sharp edges, very good for today.
