Working through my first Fritschi Tecton mount. I'd heard about the brake installation - great tribulations expected. Watched this video:

And struggled greatly to get the first plastic mount on brake #1. Watched again, and brake #2 went much more smoothly. My mistake was trying to line up the whole brake outline in the plastic mount - holding the plastic mount parallel to the brake arms. Very difficult. Vocalisations ensued.

The correct way is to hold it EXACTLY as in the video around 0:04, at an angle close to how it would be when already installed and deployed. Not totally easy, but much much easier.

Attaching the brake assembly to the heelpiece (starting around 1:10) was slightly fussy but not difficult. No force needed.

Haha, I struggled with it too, when I did it a few years ago.
