Camelback? Every place that comes after is better.

There's some kind of bias or ballot box stuffing when these weird rankings come out

I don't think they're claiming otherwise... it's completely survey based. People are going to do things like vote for their home mountain, or only vote for the places they know or have been. Bias and stuffing are completely inherent in the methodology in things like this. (Though I can't seem to find where they actually lay out the methodology, other than it being a reader survey.)

Conde Nast comes at this from a different angle than most of us would ..
Yes, but it would be nice to see what questions were answered by the readers too... anyone have that info?

Ah, so this is why my wife was asking where Smuggler's Notch is located.

"It doesn't matter, we'll never travel to ski there...unless we move to the east coast for some other reason."

It beat Snowbird handily!
Putting it in the top 20 is comedy.
This survey reminds me of the Liftopia one several years back. Somehow, Magic Mt, Vt ranked #1 in North America. I could see it if you eliminated the US and Canada and were left with Mexico, but that wasn’t the case.

There will be people who pay attention to this survey unfortunately. Could be bad for Aspen/Snowmass.

Guess I should read the article to see if they talk about why Copper didn't even make the cut.
There's no article or text or rationale that I can find. Just the list with scores.

There's a kind of intro to their overall survey results and links to all the lists... best ski resort was one tiny piece of it (including best hotels, best destinations, best spas, etc.) :

  2. Big White 89.07
  3. Marmot Basin 88.22
  4. Lake Louise 87.10
  5. Mont-Tremblant 86.09

I guess someone doesn't realize The Canyons is part of Park City since about 2014.
