I believe it is a ‘22 model year- 5 months old at the time of the accident according to the article. At first Giants U.K. distributor denied any responsibility but the parent company later admitted to the manufacturing defect
If you over tighten the headset or bottom bracket by as little as 3 Nm , you ( or whoever assembled it )voided the warranty in many cases which is usually how they dispute claims.
