It was a great week, I walked with Jordan for the 1st, 3rd and 4th rounds. Amazing win as he was not at his best this week, but gutted it out.

Matt Kutcher has a world class smile, but, it was missing late in the round. Can't imagine being on the cusp of winning the Open, (or any other major), and, having your only opponent shooting 5 under in the last 5 holes. Speith is a very special putter, even his misses are so close.

I had a thought as I was listening to sports news this morning...
We've had threads started with Tiger Woods in the title. Is Spieth one of those athletes who will inspire golf threads started specifically with him in mind? I think he could be.

I was out playing golf myself this weekend and only saw about an hour of Open highlights Sunday night. Whew. Spieth's putter was on fire the last hour. Didn't he one-putt 5 out of last 6 holes including several bombs like the 50 footer for eagle? His bogey on the 13th from over the sand dune could be a career-defining hole.

My wife knows nothing of golf, but she knows Spieth. On top of everything else, the guy makes girls swoon. Let's hope that's not his undoing

So I flip on the The Open to see what's what..and Canadian Austen Connelly is in third?!?! WTF is Austen Connelly?!?! Dig a bit deeper...born and raised in Dallas, Texas..father is from Toronto. I'm thinking he's American so we'll give this win to you guys if he makes it!

Watching Connelly I'm thinking, good thing he has a beard otherwise he would have trouble passing for a 13 year old.

When Spieth had that wild drive on the 13th I thought here we go another self destruct like the 2016 Masters....Wrong...totally wrong. How did he get out of that hole with only a bogey?
