I forget who recommended them, but I just picked up a pair of the Castelli Omloop bibs.
I remember installing mirrycles 30 years ago.
Yeah same. Mirrycles. They also had the bar end mirrors as well..What were the ones that went into the cable end at the hood called? Non-aero levers, obv.
I was just looking at a miyata 710 with the downtube levers that had one bolt that went into a single braze-on on the top of the tube. Boy you're screwed if you have that frame!! Superbe Pro Gruppo. Great at the time..
Oh no! I've got two Miyata 710's, mine and my father's. Why am I screwed? No way to replace the shifters with others because of the single bolt?I was just looking at a miyata 710 with the downtube levers that had one bolt that went into a single braze-on on the top of the tube. Did that have the auto-trim system? Where the front der lever would adjust based on the rear der lever? Or was that a different system. So long ago..For some reason I remember a Shimano system like that. 600AX? The 'aero' ones.
Can't say for sure. I remember that was there manganese alloy like 531. They had good stuff. They were the Giant of their day.Ever built any with that Mangalight alloy?
Air Zound - bike pump rechargeable air horn. LUDICROUSLY loud, sufficiently so to penetrate even the SUV with, no doubt, the sound system on, while the woman (in my particular case) carries on through the 4 way stop with her coffee in her hand. Emergency stop, coffee dropped (me - a big schadenfreude smile saved until I am at a safe distance). Woman looking round for the other 16 wheels ... Great piece of safety equipment.
