How truthful is the pic? The rest of inbounds looks totally skied out with bumps yet the model is in overhead blower?

May be the skier is short. Really really short.
I know the feeling personally.

I think the cirque being skied out lend the picture more credability and truthfulness.

This intermediate 15 day a year skier doesn't get the 'advanced' hype of Snowbird.
The quality cold dry and abundant snow makes difficult terrain less difficult in my view.
It's a great place for non experts.

The best days I've experienced at the bird are those midweek sleeper storm days where the couple of inches at opening turn nto bottomless face shots by noon or those wind buffed days where the moguls disappear and you can really hit the throttle.

Chasing the rope drops on a blue bird pow day was kind of annoying and not worth it imo.

That photo was definitely from baldy before the public had access.

I like to tell my tall friends that people with short legs get to ski more knee deep powder.:daffy:

That is what makes this a marketing campaign.
You said it yourself - "hype."

IIRC that guy was warned by half the forum to go to park city instead. Its too bad he hit too much snow to ski.
Well under half the forum IIRC, and not nearly as forcefully as I would done. I did not see the thread until after his trip, not to say that would have made any difference based on a lot of these travel threads.

Bird has been added to the hit list after seeing this. Awesome marketing.

Snowbird sucks, the snow is easy to ski, it gets tracked out too quickly, the valley sucks as it's smoggy all year long, the marketing department lies like dogs, I think everyone should stay home.
Yes...all of Utah sucks...

It does get tracked out fast. Like a feeding frenzy there on a powder day!

I am sure you're right, But I have heard a lot of comments regarding " too much powder" and "oh no, moguls" over the years. Would put this in the the Judy Tenuda " it could happen" world.
