Inspiring.
I remember attending a slideshow/talk presented by Alan Bard (Tom Carter may have been there too) back in the 80's while at Mammoth one Spring. My recollection is hazy but the presentation was probably about this route as the time frame fits. Whatever it was, it gave my crew & I aspirations to get out in the mountains & explore the possibilities.
Inspiring!

Me & the boys in the U-Notch above the Palisade glacier on our way up North Palisade some time in the way back days...

A must watch, even if you've already seen it. Excellent.

Nice one!
I met Tom Carter & Allan Bard during a slideshow presentation they did for a group of us in Mammoth in the early 80's when they were pioneering the route. I spent a decade touring on those skinny telemark skis & leather boots during that period.

EDIT: Just realized I kind of repeated myself with the reminiscing :P
