This looks like it could be what pushes gearboxes into the mainstream, or at least starts the progression:

Far lighter and cheaper than was previously the case, less unsprung weight, stronger rear wheels, etc., etc.

Very interested in seeing whether one of the Big Brands puts out a gearbox bike in the next season or two.
