My kids' gear was pretty cheap. Most was bought gently used but just picked up a pair of new skates for about $50 delivered that are still a little big for him. Spring they should be good though, Easter gift. Sticks all scored at thrift stores so far, usually about $5.00 each..

I did gasp at the prices for top line adult gear while shopping though. It's like skis, you can get full adult (non goalie) gear, something usable for under two hundred bucks, but if you want to compete at higher levels you can spend five times that pretty easily.

Watching the Avs-Leafs game..love the third Colorado jersey.

Not sure I've seen it. Pic?

Does it depict the 2016 team getting swept away in an ..........avalanche?
maybe that's not fair, the Jets are behind them in the standing!

I'm having a confused year. One team doing great and the other one barely on top of the 'Whaler lite' team.... :nono: (hard to understand really)

Who's looking forward to the Winter Classic from Foxborough?
Now the Habs had best kick those B's asses in Patriotville...
Weather looks cooperative with a high of 40 after a nice cold night before...

I only really enjoy watching outdoor hockey when it is dumping so hard the tv cameras can't always find the puck

So I happened to have a look @ the standings and what do I see?
FL, Dallas and Los Angeles in the top slot of 3 out of 4 divisions

This has to be a sign the world is coming to an end... :nono:

Oh, lighten up. :roflmao:DC isn't exactly polar. And the cellar dwellers are, uh, Edmonton, Buffalo, Columbus, and Winnipeg, all (except for CBJ, sorta) offering the frigid existence known to attract high-level hockey, which has worked out oh so well...

No thoughts on tomorrows game? I always enjoy the Winter Classic :beercheer:

Just a point separates them in the standings so we could have a great game.
Clear skies and upper 30's @ puck drop...

Habs and B's...should be a good game. I like the Winter Classic, but like @crgildart, I do find myself wishing it was a blizzard every year.
