Bummer. The CDOT camera shows just wet roads. It's a longer route, but worth checking out someday. Once past Bailey, it's a nice drive...except when it's windy around Fairplay.

I 70 sucks
FWLIW, I70 even sucked in the late 70s and early 80s. When living in WP, we'd head down to Denver on fall weekend mornings to play soccer in the city league. The west bound was bumper to bumper. East bound was clear sailing to Wash Park, etc. The afternoon & evening drives back up were solo missions (especially over Berthoud) with bumper to bumper for the eastbound.
