Do or die for the USA men against Costa Rica tonight in Copa America. A loss would put them in dire shape with almost zero chance of advancing.

Mods please edit title to "Futbal" instead of "Futball" thanks.
They pulled it out in impressive fashion.

By the way, the spanish is "Futbol".

Costa Rica was slaughtered.
Brazil destroyed Haiti.
Peru and Ecuador tied.

Ya, what happened to the Costa Rica team? They were surprisingly good for such a small nation last year/
round. Did they miss out on some MSL folks they had last year that couldn't make it this time?

Couldn't make it? You mean stay in MLS and not play in a huge national tournament? lol

Their goalie (Navas) is injured; he is really good. Not sure that's why they can't score, though.

And what about Argentina ... Messi is injured, and Kun Aguero is still a sub. How do you say "deep" in Spanish?

I have no idea what their contracts require and exempt in that regard.

Costa Rica dominated the first ten minutes. Then they committed a foul in the box and after Dempsey buried the pk it was downhill from there.

(I misspoke earlier ...I meant international tournament.) No, this is like the most prestigious international tournament behind World Cup. It's like the Euros. So ... yeah.

I know that, but sometimes they don't play the friendly's leading up to the group play when they have paid league conflicts... sometimes that results in the coach sitting them if they aren't on the same page due to lack of practice and experience on the team.

Here's Bradley whining about it last year when the schedules came out...
