I have been dealing with pain in my hips, and pelvic region since left year, and only now am I finally getting to the root causes; Hip impingements, in both hips, torn hip labrum, and core muscle injury (aka sports hernia.). Made it through last ski season, and hoping to make it through this one before any surgeries.

Been to HSS in NYC to see 2 hip specialist, and they recommend going in and fixing the impingements, and sewing up the torn labrum.

However, the core muscle injury is the tricky one? Seems to be a lot of controversy, over these injuries, to the point that Insurance companies won't even cover the surgery for the repair.

I m seeing Dr. Meyers in Philly next week. I believe he is one of the leaders in this field.

Does any have any experience with core muscle injuries? (Sports hernia, Athletic Pubalgia).
