I kind of can't believe he hasn't mentioned this in a post yet, so congratulations to JM for getting selected to the pSIA-E Development team this week..

Secondly, what does the development team do anyway?

The Dev team does a few things. First I think you can look at it as the defacto L4 even though it is not standard but a job interview. Second, Dev team members can eventually hold L1 exams as well as various workshop clinics, and lastly we are being trained to do all of that as well eventually hopefully become examiners.

When your on Dev team its a 4 year term to make examiner or you have to try out again.

Congrats to my fellow stowe instructors as well. We got 6 people on the Dev team making up 1/3 of the new selection.

it was easily the youngest, highest skiing skilled group I have seen at any of these tryouts.
