The whole wine and cheese thing - way overrated. More unflattering combinations there than not, imho.

But I'm here in this very important thread to say that I can swoon over Stilton amd Port and not be a misogynistic cigar-smoking lout wearing an ascot. So good.

So if I buy Stilton and a big Zin next March you're not having any?

Honestly after a day skiing with this crowd at altitude I'm generally up for a liter of water, about three-quarters of a session beer, and a long sleep.

But in PRINCIPLE, yes, I'm all in.

Pairings? Why stop at two?
Prime rib roast beef and Chateau Neufe du Pape, and don't forget some strong horse radish with that. Followed by...
Chocolate cheese cake, coffee and Couvoisier XO,
and to complete the perfect supper, some 20 (or 40) year old Taylor Fladgate tawny port.

I think you need to meet @mdf. Maybe break open a couple of Binford 6500 air horns, too. And those giant Henry VIII capon legs. :roflmao:

JK Enjoy.
