So after about 20k ft vert of skiing inside the Beaver Creek resort I went in switched skis and headed up top to skin up to the bald spot. After the cat track the trail was fully covered in about 10-18" of snow. It was not super hard breaking trail but its hard work and much slower than just using an existing skin track obviously. I measured a snowpack of about 40-50" in most of the areas in spots with drifts it was obviously more. So coverage is superb up there. Much better than in most of the resort. The top layer was not affected by the wind much at all which is super rare up there. Overall the dynafit bindings work amazingly well and the lightness of the whole setup was immediately noticeable and made climbing much much nicer.
