Gear Best way to remove heel insert

I have the Scarpa Freedom boots with removable soles for alpine and tech bindings.

When removing the heel insert whats the best way to do this? I've used the allen wrench to unwedge it then eventually a dime or penny. I've also used a flat head screwdriver which seems to work better.

I thought I'd ask others with more experience. As this part can take up quite a bit of time on the change over.

I use a small sloted screwdriver to remove (pry them off).
