Anyone here have surgery for a torn rotator cuff?

I had a full tear on my right shoulder that definitely needed surgery and I totally agree with Andy do it, get it over with an do your PT as directed it will hurt but full ROM is worth the pain. I had mine done in late June and not going skiing that winter never even crossed my mind I was good to go.

I've had three shoulder surgeries.The best part of the first one was that I had PT at the same time and place as Joe Montana. He was always on the bed next to me. He was playing for the 49ers at the time. Very good guy. Shows you how long ago that was.

I had RC surgery 8 years. Supraspinatus tore off of bone & biceps tendon tore. 2 screws in my upper arm for the tendon & shaving of my collarbone for clearance. I waited a really long time to get surgery - which was a mistake. Get the surgery done now. It was a full year before I was back to normal but to this day my shoulder is not quite the same.
