One of the benefits of working in a ski shop this season is all the older skis to tune.

I really liked this ski(rip stick) at e Demo Day this year. definitely big smile generating. but like the enforcer the Test version looks better than the production ski.
I tried the Ripstick 96 against the Fischer Ranger, Mantra, and Salomoin qst99. The Ripstick was the hands down winner. so lively, light, and had the best edge hols on the harder stuff. Definitely getting a pair.

AND WHAT ABOUT THESE ?

Elan has no record of ever making them ... I asked !
The candy colored ones , obviously ....
I reached the factory in Slovenia and they checked , even going to ask old employees .
Nothing .
So lucky !
If only about skiing ... because the rest is a mess !|!!

Our local on-mountain shop couldn't sell a single pair :(

It's the shape of the ski that is slightly funky and hard to look at...like a white driver in golf...but nowadays everything is shaped funny. I have never been an "Elan guy," but this season between the ripstick and the 165 SLX WC for beer league, I am picking up what they are laying down

From brochure, pretty sure this is the 1979-1980 line as brochure is missing RC-07, RC-06 and RC-01:

Bill do you have any photos of the Elan (Cliff Taylor) GLM skis that were the main stay rental of so many shops in the 1970's? They seemed to always use the Spademan bindings.

This book is pretty old: 1968 and revised in 1972.
