The lifts start spinning on the 10th, so it's hike-for-turns only so far..

I started skiing on Saturday, and I went out again yesterday.

Bow Summit area, about a half hour's drive northwest of the Lake Louise ski resort. The road is high here, so it is pretty busy in the early season.

Saturday was warm, with wet, creamy snow.....good fun!
Yesterday was cold, coral reef stuff....but it is hard to complain about skiing in October!
Didn't find any rocks. :)

Still kicking myself for missing last weekend's powder.

It will take a miracle at this point for Park City to open on Nov 17th as scheduled. Not sure why they targeted quite that early anyway as that always seemed very ambitious. Interesting to here Vermont opening well ahead of Utah resorts!!

Day 7 - combo Loveland Demo Day + powder day! We missed several rope drops (they timed them for when we were in the lodge), but we did get some nice soft real snow. And I got my first yard sale of the season. The snow was soft enough that I had to build a platform to get back into my skis.

So far I have 1 day in; 7 runs, 315 feet of vertical according to EpicMix. I spent an hour on our beginner run doing ambassador duty so at least I got paid.
I won't be back on snow till 11/26.

However, I've been training a couple days a week here, https://thealpinefactory.com.
So, I'm getting my sliding fix.
