I recently tested out a new ski (Kendo 88) vs my daily driver (M102), and found my inside quads got pretty blown out midway through the day.

When I was first learning to ski, my outer quads would burn from bracing, backseating, and other bad techniques and I learned how to work my way out of that. But this is a new soreness I haven't really felt before.

With the narrower waisted ski, I was really able to get a lot more angulation and it felt awesome. Could that be the driving reason for it?

It is likely an existing muscle imbalance that you didn't know existed until you were on a narrower ski and needed to use the muscle.
