Once in a while the stars align, and even Steamboat aspens ( @Ron ) have competition from our eastern woods. Whipped egg whites, yesterday, Wildcat, NH:

Looks like it would be awesome powder bump skiing if you didn't have to keep dodging those trees! :Pogwink:duck:

Steamboat trees are too tight....

and I am not kidding they appear more open then what we normally ski but in reality they are much tighter.

Sorry Josh, but I beg to disagree big time. I have skied Steamboat several times and would never hesitate to drop into the trees if there is even half-way decent snow.
The trees I know in the east are way scary, tight, and bumped out.
Not at all the same....and not easier.

That is a stunning tree!
^^^And this one is probably under 40 feet in height, with a base diameter of 6 feet. Not going to knock this one over easily. Here's another, looking southward with Mt. San Jacinto on the horizon, about 35 miles distant.

Fun ghost tree. Someone lives in there. Fox?
It almost looks big, but your shadow gives away its size.

The tree is about 20' tall. You are seeing a long afternoon shadow. It is facing directly at open Pacific. That tree has seen some weather.
