Took a trip to Timberline and skied 6/2 and 6/3. Went there for the following reasons:
I wasn't too impressed. My experiences and impressions:
I would say that next time I will take the longer drive to Mammoth, but then again next year I think I could ski for free (71 and up).
- I had never been there
- Bachelor was closed.
- Snowbird too little open and can't ski to bottom.
- Too ;long of a drive to Mammoth (been there this spring also) and Arapaho.
I wasn't too impressed. My experiences and impressions:
- I stayed in The Dalles for affordability but was a 70 miles drive to skiing.
- Lift tickets were $68 with no additional discounts for 70 year age or having another area season pass.
- Conditions were pretty sloppy for my taste and old legs, but this was June after all.
- About half the lifts (Magic Mile, Palmer, Storming Norman) and a somewhat larger per centage of terrain open.
- Wasn't very impressed with the mountain/terrain.
- I came home after two days due to conditions, expense and the fact that I wasn't feeling very well. Done for the year.
