I have to say this contest really got my 11 yo son really interested in K2. he looked at the entire everything K2 thread and is currently watching the preformers.

he wants a pair of the shreditor 102 with the retro graphic orange/yellow/white/green/blue. maybe when he outgrows his Hart attacks

It got me excited about K2 as well. The other day I was looking for a carver from them. Or trying to find one.

I really appreciate K2 sponsoring this contest. It was really sweet of them. Of course I am sure it will bring them extra revenue through advertisement, but in the end, nobody is in this industry "just for the money", and I am just thankful. Also, this makes me more likely to choose K2 in the future :)

Question.. Will the skis be available in a size small enough for Royal's kid? If so I might lobby more for his entry..

The Red White and Blue skis don't go that small :( But still, Royal's picture is pretty cool.

go ahead and lobby for me, He will grow into the 177's;). he is already trying to get a lot of my stuff. you know, lots of talk about when I die what he will inherit etc... just this week he was trying to claim ownership of my 13' raft. I usually just walk away muttering something to the effect of "dang Kids":doh:

gotta love them though.

One of the nice things about a retro graphic...they don't go out of style...twice. ;)

I'm impressed. A little campaigning appears to be in order.

My photo near the summit of Peak 10 before descending Fourth of July Bowl shows a jacket that my mother made me when I was a kid. I chose the colors and Mum put them together. The goggles are Boutons, just like I had as a kid. The skis are from the last century. Limited edition K2 Big Kahunas with Jerry Garcia graphics. Not only am I representing our nation in gloriously patriotic fashion, I'm demonstrating my support for vintage gear and the history of our glorious sport.

I actually had a few more & then some must have retracted.......

My campaign plea- I NEED new boards after that photoshoot. :)
