There's a day for everything, right?
Today is National Coffee Day!
Its important to start your day with a good cup of coffee.
Phil and I make Pour Over with Peets coffee, usually Major Dickson's Blend
When we travel, we will take our set up with us so we can have consistently good coffee on the road, but we don't take the equipment when we're going for a week or less, which creates a challenge in finding a really good cup of coffee on our journey.

We've had some really good coffee at some member's homes, @Ron @Blue Streak -

Lets talk coffee and how we prefer to enjoy that cup of deliciousness!

Kona coffee rocks!

I'm not sure my opinions are valid, I like cafe au lait not pure black. Scotch is best neat, coffee best 50% milk.

To further discredit myself, I like good decaffeinated coffee. And I miss Postum.

Peets is the best. But don't overlook bridge-club coffee. 6 cups of Walmart Yuban per day is 36 cents. 30 for the coffee and 6 for the filters. Buzzing on Yuban, listening to "Meet Me On The Corner", and admiring my white Scott "The Ski" ski poles that I bought 2 days ago. My day.

I use Peets Cafe Domingo medium roast Keurig cups at work, where some of us share a machine. It's a mighty fine cuppa. Available on Amazon in a 40 count box for about $32. At home, it's more haphazard: Starbucks, Peets, Jose's, or a mix.

These days I like my coffee with some 1/2 & 1/2. Starbucks will actually charge you more if you ask for 1/2 & 1/2 ("breva") but still provides it in the self-serve carafes.

My current favorite. . beans at home, kcup at work. Availability is sporadic though, may have to resort to mail order.
They have a Blue Mountain too, but to be honest it is too subtle for me (expensive too).

I know it makes me a pariah here but I largely think a lot of modern coffee is just pretension on the part of people who don't enjoy a proper brew

Definition of a British day out - Somewhere to go, Something to do/see, Somewhere to have a nice cuppa tea.

Postum? I never thought I'd hear someone missed Postum.
If you want to get it, you can find it at most health food stores.

Dunkin Donuts coffee black is my go to American coffee. Café Bustelo is my espresso when making it at home. But I like it with a shot of Sambuca in it.

We need some kind of "slowly shaking head in mild dismay and confusion" emoji here.

We usually buy the beans from a local
joint close to seascape resort in CA (Surf City). We grind them and make lattes at home. Yummy!
