There are no skis in this photo (though I will suggest that perhaps the snorkel was being worn in homage to deep powder days, rather than to look for catfish under the dock). It is, however, a very patriotic photo of ski-loving children having summer adventures.

In an effort to duplicate last winter's snowfalls, went to the Wyoming Medicine Wheel to sacrifice a pair of skis to any and all Gods that would listen (particularly Ullr).

The Rangers said if I burned them or left them there I would spend years in prison. In the end just carried them around the Wheel a couple of time chanting, then escaped before the Rangers could get back..

You can thank me later for the effort, after the snow starts flying again

I wasn't able to ski on the 4th (stupid shoulder surgery!) but was able to partake in some yummy traditional fare with @Philpug and @Tricia at Chez Ziggy. BTW, the gin for the gin and tonic was sourced locally and made in the USA!
