It's been over a month. And not a dry month, because there are no dry months. Ever. Even March.

Soul Crusher from Phantom Canyon. With expresso and white chocolate, which actually works.

Henhouse Brewing in Santa Rosa this evening. Tried several delicious IPAs. Beer is the only alcoholic beverage I like. Other than tropical drinks when I'm in the tropics...

Santa Rosa, huh? My wife & I lived in Petaluma for eight years in the 80s & early 90s — before Lagunitas or Russian River Brewing. It was all about wine then. We still have friends there, but it's been a few years since we've visited. . . . Hm.

I think it's still mostly about wine, just not for me. I like bitter. Russian River is opening a new brewpub in Windsor, and you probably know about Lagunitas. And there are several smaller breweries ( Henhouse, Cooperage, Twisted Goat to name a few.You could do a nice pub crawl...

Yeah, right? I like that idea. Looked up Henhouse — of course it started in Petaluma (the former Chicken Capital of the World), where old chicken sheds are a dime a dozen. I once worked for a massage table manufacturer in a converted chicken shed there, an interesting locale during Loma Prieta.
