Currently size 17 4E (nominally) flat feet, nine broken bones, eight bone spurs removed and a few other things. For the past year they've been swollen with edema, these are the before pictures. I'm 57, 6-0, 235+-.

When I was young I skied 200 days per year for three years and hammered myself, then had a climbing accident and broke other parts of me and was unable to ski for a while so I went back to college. Back then I wore size 15s, 6-1, 190.

I can still enjoy skiing thanks to bootfitter/coach/hero Miguel Azcarate at Mud Sweat and Gears in Ellicotville, NY. I did go to a recreational Nordica 3-buckle that's a bit soft but at least I can get into it, unlike the Lange race boots I used up until 2014. I wear compression socks before skiing to drive the fluid out.

OK your turn ;-p

Seriously, those are yours? Power to ya man that you are even out skiing. Color me impressed and kudos for Miguel for helping you get in a boot. :hail::hail::hail:

Wow man. You are one of those people that can talk to a top foot specialist and probably know as much as they do about bones in the feet and what they are supposed to look like and do. On a total non serious note... ever thought of just whacking off the toes and wearing like a size 12? ;-)

Dayum man, congrats on still walking. I was going to contribute a photo of my gross fungusy toenails no one can stand to look at (also from climbing in sweaty boots), but .....

I got nothing.

Really.

Good luck!

It's funny that skiing and biking are still pretty fun and do-able, walking is actually harder but not walking sucks even more.

The good thing is that when my wife tells me to get a job I'm not qualified to be a Walmart greeter so I'm safe from employment!

Seriously though, I just have a bad knuckle on my right big toe that hurts and feels weak most of the time. Hurts putting on the boot. haven't seriously considered fusion there yet though..
All my toes used to go CRACK! when I took off the boots and balled up toes after a long ski day. They don't do that anymore, and sometimes I wonder why..
