Chariots of Fire... When I think of music / movie associations, that just comes right up in my head. There's nothing else.

Forest Gump had a pretty good soundtrack... A little replay of recent American history there.

I was going to say Pretty in Pink

Nowadays soundtracks are all pretty good but getting a bit too knowing. Guardians of the Galaxy was fun and the only redeeming things about Suicide Squad were Margot Robbie and the no filler soundtrack.

Obviously Tarantino led the way on knowlngly hip soundtracks.
