PB blaster on the threads, count to 1000, then give the screw head a twist.
ps Try TIGHTENING the screw before turning anti clockwise to loosen.
PB blaster is a brand, they make a number of lubricants. The penetrating oil is what you want to help loosen the threads. That sounds slick!
What is PB blaster on the threads?
Tried to tighten first
Vise grips are always the best and quickest answer
Would the Acetone damage the plastic shell? Have you tried needle nose pliers or longer nose vice grips? You may need another person to help you, one to hold the inside and you turn the outside or vice versa.Acetone will, if it's Loctite.

I guessed that the T-Nut is recessed that is why I said the long nose type vice grips. Another thought would be to hold the square side with the tip of an open wrench with the open end wrench locked in a set of vice grips so it does not slip as it turns.Acetone generally doesn't affect polyurethane. From his earlier post I think the problem is getting the vise grips in there at a gripping angle - just not enough room.
Acetone might work but it could damage the shell. If you are considering acetone try it on another part of the shell first to see what happens. I occasionally assemble and repair golf clubs, and wiping acetone on the plastic ferrules is one way to "turn them down" so they fit flush with the hosel of the golf club.Would the Acetone damage the plastic shell?
