RIP 12/31/15 Only 30+ years of service, lower section just fell off at the bottom of the hill. (insert crying smilie here) My green pair were stolen in the early 90's. View media item 1002
Mine broke just like that, the first day out after an 18 year hiatus in 2002. I was poling thru the lift corral and it just popped off. I bought some new poles, but I've been afraid to attempt a tip roll since then.

This makes a lot of sense -- they talk about how "Blue is beautiful", yet they went with a black and white ad. :)

Think I am still missing a grey in the first gen. The green and orange came with Spademan plates. I did ski on Scotts for a couple of years and then the novelty wore off, not to mention the shell breakage and bone spurs more commonly referred to as Scott toe.

My Superhots were the most painful things I have ever subjected my poor feet to.

I cannot disagree with you. I do not know how anyone skied these...by choice.
