My son, Andrew, was in a ski week last January. On a Tuesday with 11" fresh, his group of three warmed up with first track down R&R. The second run was first track down What-3. The better instructors knows how to keep their people happy. That is how they earn their tips for the end of the week.

BTW, looks like we'll be there most of Jan & Feb. Give me a shout if you are there during that time.

I've been making a list of multi-day adult ski camps so I can get some appropriate vacation dates for next season. I'm mostly interested in all-mountain, steeps, bumps, and powder in the Western US/Canada. I have the Mountain Collective pass, so I'm planning on doing a Taos ski week as well as Steep and Deep this season. May do an early season camp at Alta in December as well. Here's a list of links I check on:

You may also want to add The Rookie Academy (http://www.rookieacademy.com). Primarily geared to training instructors, but welcomes good all-terrain skiers who are not in the industry. Courses are given at Aspen; Treble Cone, New Zealand; and at Mont-Sainte-Anne in Quebec. You would probably be looking at the Mont-Sainte-Anne one-week course given throughout the winter. It is taught by JF Beaulieu, who is often cited as one of the finest coaches in North America (check out some of his videos on Youtube). Cost is $1200 Canadian, which works out to about $900 American.

Good luck!
